Collection

Repeat prescriptions will be ready for collection after 48 working hours. Remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.

Please inform us if someone other than the patient will be collecting the prescription. Alternatively we are happy to post your prescription to you if you supply us with a stamped addressed envelope.

Many pharmacies will also organise to pick up and even deliver your prescription for you.

Emergency / Acute Prescriptions

All emergency / acute prescriptions ordered before 11.00 may be collected from the surgery after 14:00 and those ordered after 11.00 may be collected after 16:00.  Any prescriptions not collected within 7 days of being ordered are destroyed and will have to be re-ordered if necessary. No prescriptions are issued after 17:00 unless for an emergency.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse annually to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
